Welcome to Dream Car Trader. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dream Car Trader website (dreamcartrader.com) and related services operated by Dream Car Trader Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

• "Platform" means the Dream Car Trader website, mobile applications, and related services.
• "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
• "Seller" means a User who lists a vehicle for sale, whether a private individual or a trade dealer.
• "Buyer" means a User who enquires about or purchases a vehicle.
• "Listing" means an advertisement for a vehicle placed on the Platform.
• "Dealer" means a trade seller operating as a registered business.

2. Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to create an account and use our services.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorised access to your account.

2.3 Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep your information up to date.

3. Listing Rules

3.1 Accurate Descriptions

All listings must accurately describe the vehicle being sold. Sellers must disclose any known defects, damage, or issues. Misrepresentation may result in listing removal and account suspension.

3.2 Prohibited Content

Listings must not contain:

• False or misleading information
• Stolen vehicles or vehicles with undisclosed outstanding finance
• Vehicles that do not exist (scam listings)
• Offensive or inappropriate content
• Spam or duplicate listings

3.3 Pricing

All prices must be in pounds sterling (GBP) and must be genuine. "Price on application" (POA) is permitted for certain vehicles but must not be used to circumvent our pricing guidelines.

4. Transactions

4.1 Role of Dream Car Trader

Dream Car Trader is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. The contract of sale is between the buyer and seller directly.

4.2 No Guarantee

While we verify dealer identities and perform listing checks, we do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the condition of vehicles, or the reliability of sellers. Buyers should conduct their own due diligence, including obtaining a vehicle history check.

4.3 Disputes

Disputes between buyers and sellers should be resolved between the parties directly. We may assist in mediation where appropriate but are not obligated to do so.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1 Listing Fees

Private sellers may list vehicles for free on our Basic plan. Premium listings, featured placements, and dealer packages are subject to fees as detailed on our Pricing page.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details.

5.3 Refunds

Listing fees are non-refundable unless the listing is removed due to our error. Subscription fees may be refunded on a pro-rata basis if cancelled within 14 days of purchase.

6. Vehicle Checks and Valuations

Vehicle history checks and valuations are provided as informational tools only. While we use reliable data sources, we do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness. These should not be your sole basis for a purchasing decision.

7. Finance and Insurance

Finance calculators and comparisons on the Platform are informational tools only, intended to help you estimate representative costs. Dream Car Trader is not a lender, a credit broker, or an FCA-authorised firm, and does not arrange or provide finance or insurance products. Any finance or insurance product you take out is agreed directly between you and the relevant third-party provider, subject to their own terms and status.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Dream Car Trader Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. User-generated content (listings, reviews) remains the property of the user but you grant us a licence to display and distribute it on the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dream Car Trader shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Platform in a manner that may harm other users or our reputation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
